Alex Berg is a 17-year-old Canadian who moved to Buford, Georgia, in pursuit of his dreams. In 2020, Alex won the Mazda Motorsports USA Factory Team Scholarship Shootout and raced in the 2021 Championship for the Mazda Factory Team in the Spec MX-5 Challenge, finishing second in the championship.
After several wins and podiums in the 2022 and 2023 F4 U.S. Championships powered by Honda, Alex was selected in 2023 as a winner of the Team Canada Scholarship (TCS), competing in Britain representing Canada in the Formula Ford Festival and the Walter Hayes Trophy at Brands Hatch and Silverstone.
While in England, Alex’s success caught the eye of Richard Dutton, owner of Fortec Motorsport, who offered Alex several test days over the winter in England and Spain. Drivers of Fortec Motorsports include: Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, Fernando Alonso, Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo, Juan Pablo Montoya, and George Russell.
As stated, Alex's dream is to race in Formula One. To do that, he will need to race in Britain or Europe.
The only way to get into Formula One is to become a member of an F1 Junior Driver Academy. Racing in Europe is essential for any world-class racing driver. Gaining that experience assures your ability to participate in other forms of racing, such as sports cars and prototype racing in America. Most of the drivers in that format of racing have European Formula Car/Downforce experience.
What makes Alex different from other drivers is that he understands the need for a return on your investment. He offers access to a number of world-class business leaders. His business strategy is to be a broker for you and your company, ensuring that your spend in Motorsports has a defined ROI.
2024
Running British F4 in 2024 is the next logical option. After a debut in European open-wheel experience, I would have the chance to put together important B2B opportunities.
2025
After a successful year in BF4, the goal is to race GB3 in 2025, moving up the racing ladder with Fortec Motorsport. This is now an F3 level of motorsport.
2026
2026 will be a critical year, both in terms of finding sponsorship opportunities and in terms of performing on the world racing stage. Ideally, my goal is to join an F1 Junior Driver Academy.
